Recognised Relationship - Student Allowance definition

The Student Allowance definition for a Recognised Relationship

A recognised relationship (from 1 January 2009) is when you are both 24 or over and in a relationship such as marriage, a civil union, or a de facto relationship with someone of the same or opposite sex. If either of you is under 24 years old, at least one of you must have a child in your care to be in a recognised relationship. If either you or your partner is aged 16 or 17, written parental consent is required for you to live together in a de-facto relationship.

Please note this definition is for Student Allowance only.
