Changes to income limits for Student Allowance
From 1 April 2008 the amount you can earn before your Student Allowance payments are affected has increased to $185.73 a week (before tax).
If you have a partner, your combined income can now be up to $371.46 a week (before tax) before your payments are affected.
You must let us know if your income changes, even if it's below these amounts.
There are also changes to the parental income limits. Use the link below to try our calculator and see if you might now be eligible.
These increases are made as part of the annual adjustment to the Student Allowance rates and thresholds and will continue to increase annually with the consumer price index in April each year.
