  • simpler navigation
  • a new online application tool
  • more tools and calculators to help you plan your study finances
  • databases and information to help you plan your studies and career

New look, new navigation

The look and feel of the StudyLink website has been re-designed.

Apply Online tells you what you can get

When you use the new Apply Online tool, you'll be told what kinds of assistance you may be eligible to get from StudyLink.  This could include:

  • Student Allowance
  • Student Loan
  • Accommodation Supplement
  • Temporary Additional Support
  • Child Care Subsidy
  • OSCAR (Out of School Care and Recreation)
  • Disability Allowance
  • Child Disability Allowance

You'll then be able to apply for everything online in one process.

The aim of the new online application is to help students get everything they are entitled to.

More tools and calculators

We have worked with Sorted and Career Services to pull together a page of 12 tools and calculators to help you work out and manage your study and student finances, including:

  • access to MyStudyLink making a budget
  •  how parental income could affect the amount of Student Allowance you could get
  • the impact of borrowing and repayments
  • the dollar value of your qualification
  • information to help plan your studies and career.

More information if you're planning to study

There will be more information for intending students, and parents and advisors.  StudyLink has worked with Career Services to give site users direct access to information about the options after secondary school, career planning, and information for parents.  There is also guidance for people receiving benefits and planning to start study, on how this will affect their entitlements.

More coming - mail online

From November 2009 you will be able to view your mail online at MyStudyLink.   MyStudyLink is an online tool that allows you to view and update your details online.  To receive your mail online you'll need a MyStudyLink account, then sign up at MyStudyLink - Mail Online and we'll send you an email or text when you have new mail to view.
