Find part time work with Student Job Search
Student Job Search provides a free service, helping students get work experience and fund their studies through gaining employment in a wide variety of industries.
You can search for jobs online at www.sjs.co.nz.
Jobs at Student Job Search can be anything from a one-hour psychology experiment or week-long job during semester break, to part-time work for the whole year or a full-time job over summer. There are all sorts of jobs available - from fruit picking, tutoring, child care and gardening to website design, café work and office administration, plus everything in between.

If you're studying full-time
If you're studying full-time over summer school period (semester three) you may be able to get a Student Allowance or Student Loan. The best way to apply for both of these is online.
If you're studying both Summer School and the 2010 academic year you will need to complete an online application for each study period.
If you're studying part-time
If you're studying part-time over summer you may be eligible for the Unemployment Benefit Student Hardship.
To get the Unemployment Benefit Student Hardship you'll need to be eligible for or have been receiving Student Allowance.
You must also:
- be registered for work with Student Job Search (or Work and Income if there's not a Student Job Search in your region)
- be actively looking for full-time work
- plan to study full-time after your break.
