New study assistance for beneficiaries

On the 2 December 2009 the Minister of Social Development and Employment announced new study assistance for beneficiaries.

Extra recoverable assistance is available to some beneficiaries undertaking certain types of tertiary study. 

These people must also be studying to be nurses, doctors, midwives, vets or teachers on a level 4 or above course.

Applicants can access up to $500.00 in a 52 week period. This assistance is available from 1 February 2010 to 31 January 2011.
