Returning to study for 2012 - You need to know your results
If you've received a Student Loan for study ending in 2009 or later, and completed 1.6 EFTS of study since then you'll need to know whether you have passed at least half of all this study before you apply for your new loan.
If you're not sure, we recommend that you wait until you know your study results or check with your education provider.
You can change your declaration later by letting us know in writing.

First time student
If you’re going to tertiary study for the first time in 2012, there are some things you need to know.

Remember to start your application early; if you have just finished school you don’t need to wait till your have your results, you can apply online now. Check out the application process before you apply so you know what to expect and have everything ready when you apply.

When you apply online this year, there are a few extra things you should do that will make it easier for you:
Choose to get your mail online - anywhere, anytime
We'll send you an email or text when you have new mail to view. Mail online provides secure storage for your letters in one place and gives you the ease and convenience of checking your mail from any location.
Choose to receive your Student Loan Contract online
When you apply online make sure you sign up to view and accept your Student Loan contract online. Receiving your Student Loan Contract online will reduce the time it takes for you to receive your contract after you apply for your Student Loan.
Student Loan Contracts online is available to returning students who are 18 years and over and have previously had a Student Loan. Students will also need to have signed up to receive their Mail Online.
