On the 2 December 2009 the Minister of Social Development and Employment announced new study assistance for beneficiaries.
Please note that on Monday 25 January 2010, is Wellington Anniversary Day. The Wellington, Wairarapa and Manawatu Outreach offices and all campus sites will be closed on this day.
Please note that on Monday 1 February 2010, is Auckland Anniversary Day and Nelson Anniversary Day. All offices and campus sites in Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, East Cape and Nelson will be closed on this day.

StudyLink's Contact Centre will be open from 9am to 3pm on Saturday 27 February.

When you apply for a Student Allowance or Student Loan there are certain documents we need to see in order to process your application.
Please note that on Wednesday 24 February 2010 StudyLink will not be present at the Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) in Invercargill.

Yesterday Minister Bennett announced an increase to Benefits, Allowances and Superannuation payments from 1 April.
Please note that on Monday 8 March 2010, is Taranaki Anniversary Day. All offices and campus sites in New Plymouth will be closed on this day.

StudyLink sends out Student Loan statements to borrowers three times a year. The September statements will be sent out during the week of 6 September. If you receive your mail online, these will be available from 6 September.

The New Zealand Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Commission emergency grant is available to assist those who have been displaced from their homes as a result of structural damage as a result of the earthquake.
From Friday 17 September, Christchurch Outreach staff will be back in Torrens House. An appointment only system is currently in place. Please call 0800 88 99 00 to make an appointment if you require emergency assistance.
