On the 2 December 2009 the Minister of Social Development and Employment announced new study assistance for beneficiaries.
Please note that on Monday 25 January 2010, is Wellington Anniversary Day. The Wellington, Wairarapa and Manawatu Outreach offices and all campus sites will be closed on this day.
Please note that on Monday 1 February 2010, is Auckland Anniversary Day and Nelson Anniversary Day. All offices and campus sites in Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, East Cape and Nelson will be closed on this day.

StudyLink's Contact Centre will be open from 9am to 3pm on Saturday 27 February.

Yesterday Minister Bennett announced an increase to Benefits, Allowances and Superannuation payments from 1 April.
Please note that on Monday 8 March 2010, is Taranaki Anniversary Day. All offices and campus sites in New Plymouth will be closed on this day.

Student Allowance rates and thresholds and Student Loan living costs are changing from 1 April 2010 due to the Annual General Adjustment.

StudyLink sends out Student Loan statements to borrowers three times a year. The September statements will be sent out during the week of 6 September. If you receive your mail online, these will be available from 6 September.

Important Information: Payments to students are not affected and will be made this week as usual. StudyLink's Christchurch Outreach office is closed until further notice. If you require emergency assistance visit your local welfare centre. These centres are currently open 24 hours. Click on the heading for more information.
