Studying over the summer school period

Eligibility if you study over summer

If you are studying during the summer school period, to be able to get the Student Allowance or Student Loan, your course needs to be:

• full-time (ask you education provider about this) or
• part of a full-year programme.

If your programme is part-time, you may be able to get the Unemployment Benefit Student Hardship payment over the break.
