New Zealand Superannuation
If you currently receive New Zealand Superannuation, this is how becoming a student would affect you.
General criteria
You can study full-time or part-time and still receive New Zealand Superannuation payments.
You cannot receive Student Allowance if you or your partner are receiving New Zealand Superannuation payments and you cannot receive the living costs component of the Student Loan.
If you wish to apply for a Student Allowance and or Student Loan, you should contact your case manager to discuss your options first.
