NZ Superannuation
If you currently receive NZ Superannuation, this is how becoming a student would affect you.
General criteria
You can study full-time or part-time and still receive superannuation payments. If you are studying full-time you may also qualify for a Student Allowance.
Your Student Allowance may be reduced by any payments (including New Zealand superannuation) that you and your partner are receiving. You are cannot receive the living costs component of the Student Loan.
If you wish to apply for a Student Allowance, you should contact your case manager to find out how your income will affect any payments you qualify for.
