Steps to login to MyStudyLink

Please follow the full steps for your first login to MyStudyLink.

1.

Enter your username and temporary password. 

2.

Change your password.  Your password:

  • must be between 8 and 15 characters long, letters and numbers only
  • must contain at least 1 letter and 1 number
  • is lower case
  • if being changed, the new password must be different from any  of your last 3 previous passwords
  • can be reset or changed in future by clicking "Reset your password?" on the login screen and answering your challenge question.

Set up a passphrase. Remember it, as you'll need it for future logins. Your passphrase:

  • must be between 8 and 25 characters long 
  • can contain only letters and numbers (no special characters or spaces)
  • is not case sensitive
  • cannot have more than 2 repeating characters in a row (e.g. "book" is OK, "goook" is not)
  • cannot contain your username
  • if being changed, the new passphrase must be different from any previous passphrase
  • can be reset or changed in future by clicking "Reset your password?" and answering your challenge question after you have logged in.
4.

Set up a challenge question to help you remember your password.

If you forget your password or passphrase in future, you can reset them if you can answer your challenge questions.

Answers to challenge questions:

  • must be six to 30 characters long, letters and numbers only
  • must be different for password and passphrase
  • cannot contain spaces
  • cannot be all the same character, e.g. aaaaaaaaaaaaa
  • cannot start with any of these combinations: qwerty, asdfgh, zxcvbn, 123456
  • IS case sensitive
  • can be changed when you're in MyStudyLink - click "Update login details"

Set up a separate challenge question to help you remember your passphrase.

Confirm your passphrase.

7.

Accept the Terms and Conditions.
