Qualification Types - general definitions

This provides general definitions of qualification types.

Bachelor Degree

A Bachelor Degree is the lowest level of degree at a University and normally requires at least three years of full-time study.

Diploma

A Diploma is completed at a tertiary level and normally requires two years of full-time study.

Certificate

A Certificate is completed at a tertiary level and normally takes one year of full-time study to complete.

Postgraduate study

Postgraduate study is any higher-level study usually undertaken after you have completed a Bachelor Degree. The number of full-time years to complete it varies.
