When you'll be paid and when we're open over King's Birthday weekend 2026.

There are proposed changes taking effect from 2 November 2026 that will affect whether 18- and 19-year-olds can get Jobseeker Support Student Hardship or the equivalent Emergency Benefit.

These proposed changes will take effect from 1 April 2027, raising the entry threshold for some homeowners from 30% to 40% of the relevant base rate (an indicator of income).
