Application status

You can check the progress of your application in MyStudyLink.


MyStudyLink

Log in to MyStudyLink for updates on your application. If we need further information or supporting documents from you, select ‘Application Details’ in MyStudyLink for a list of what these are.

If you've recently sent us documents, your application status won't change until we've processed them, which usually takes up to 5 working days. This may take longer during our busier periods, eg, the start and end of the school year. You can also check in MyStudyLink if we've received your documents.

  • Application status and what it means

    Loan application status What it means
    Application submitted We've received your loan application.
    Contract has been sent Your Student Loan Contract has been sent — this may take up to 5 working days to reach you if it’s the first time you’ve applied or have chosen to receive your contract in the mail. Your Student Loan contract and how to return it to us or accept it online
    Contract has been returned We've received your Student Loan contract from you. Check ‘Application Details’ in MyStudyLink for any further information we may need. If you’ve applied early, we'll usually start to check your enrolment details 6 weeks before your course starts.
    Confirming study details Your application is pre-approved. We have started to check your enrolment details with your education provider, so you need to be fully enrolled.
    Study confirmed, waiting final processing We’ve confirmed your enrolment details with your education provider. Check ‘Application Details’ in MyStudyLink for any further updates.
    Approved Your application has been approved. You'll also get a letter about the outcome of your application.
    Declined If your application has been declined, you'll get a letter about the outcome of your application and the reason it has been declined.
    Allowance application status What it means
    Information is required We need information and/or evidence from you to progress your application. Check ‘Application Details’ in MyStudyLink for what these are.
    Confirming study details, waiting on information Your application is partially pre-approved. We start to check your enrolment details with your education provider so you need to be fully enrolled. If you’ve applied early, we usually can only check your enrolment details 6 weeks before your course starts. Check ‘Application Details’ in MyStudyLink if we need further information or supporting documents from you.

    Approved If your application has been approved, a description of the rate of Student Allowance you qualify for will be shown. You'll also get a letter about the outcome of your application.
    Declined If your application has been declined, you'll get a letter about the outcome of your application and the reason it has been declined. If you disagree, there's a review process you can follow.
