What you need to do
- Call us to discuss your situation.
- You'll need to apply for Jobseeker Support Student Hardship - we'll talk to you about this when you call
- Once we've received your application, we'll call you to discuss your situation and, if needed, we'll ask you to talk to your doctor.
Talk to your doctor
You'll need a medical certificate from your doctor to tell us how your health condition or disability affects your ability to work. Most GPs now send us medical certificates electronically.
If you already have a StudyLink client number, make sure your doctor includes that on the certificate.
If your doctor doesn't send your medical certificate electronically, you'll need to log in to Connect after you've applied and upload it.
Process your application
Once we've received your medical certificate, we'll process your application and let you know the outcome.
